You’re probably not sure how to go about doing this for your email campaigns without analysing data, creating segments, multiple sends and so on…

But now… using A/B split testing you can take the pain away and automate the decision making process to acheive improved campaign results.

The idea behind A/B split testing is to create some basic rules that split and deliver two small ‘test’ segments of your selected mailing list.

OK, so you know what the content of your message is going to be but you’re not sure which subject line to go with or when to send it. With A/B split testing that’s fine because you can create a different subject line and a different delivery date & time for each of the two segments. Both get sent and you give your email the best possible chance of being as effective as it can be.

The segments are tracked so that a ‘winner’ can be identified and after, say for example, 8 hours the results of each segment are compared and the winning segment defines which content is sent to the remaining users in your mailing list to complete the campaign delivery.

It’s a great way of automating campaign decision making and at the same time removing a number of manual processes and interventions.
